Perform research, observation, audits, drafting/support tasks of specialized assigned projects.Maintain active communication with inspectors, engineers, and surveyors, for any CAD production issues.Perform design and drafting related activities including project layout/plotting sheets set plans.Create alignments for the Asset Recording group (ARG) to accomplish work effort for posting to asset mapping.Create As-Built drawings using AutoCAD, from survey data, inspector notes, and collected GPS points and redline drawings.Ability to obtain and review information from record drawings, files, survey notes, photos, and AutoCAD forms in alignment with drafting standards.This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.Drafter Associate is responsible for the creation of detailed computerized engineering construction drawings, maps, for the infrastructure of Denver Water.Under general supervision, perform a broad variety of drafting/technical support duties using Computer-Aided Design/Drafting (CAD) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.Minimum of 1 year of experience in CAD/GIS engineering, construction, drafting and or surveying work.Associate Degree from an accredited college or university or 2 years training from a Technical college in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
